Monkeybiz is a Cape Town-based non-profit organisation that creates unique, handcrafted African beadwork while supporting women artisans from under-resourced communities. Founded in 2000, the organisation specialises in colourful beaded animals, dolls, sculptures and decorative artworks, with each piece handmade using traditional beadwork techniques. Monkeybiz provides artists with opportunities to earn sustainable income while helping preserve South Africa’s rich beadwork traditions and cultural heritage. Its distinctive artworks are sold locally and internationally and are also used as unique décor, gifts and collectible pieces.
